SCREENWASH ANTIFREEZE -12 °C (ETHYL ALCOHOL)
Speedol Screenwash Antifreeze -12 °C is glass cleaning fluid that prevents screenwash and washing system from freezing. It prevents freezing of screenwash fluid up to -12 ° C and icing on glass. Cleans dirt, mud, oil, insect and plant residues. It can be safely used in all passenger & commercial vehicles in four seasons.
USAGE
Used in screenwash storage of vehicles.
PROPERTIES
According to methyl alcohol content, the screenwash with ethyl alcohol allows the wipers to slip more easily on the glass, while the wiper blades can be used for a longer period of time.

Why Should Ethanol be Used Instead of Methanol in Screenwash Antifreeze?
Methanol causes intoxication, irritation to the mouth, stomach and intestinal mucosa. Methanol itself is not toxic.However, substances leading to blindness and even death are the intermediates formed as a result of the metabolism of methanol( metabolite).Methanol is converted into formaldehyde and then to formic acid by the enzymes present in the metabolism when inhaled, skin contacted or orally administered.Formic acid, which can affect the retinal and optic nerves and cause visual disturbances leading to blindness,is toxic to the nervous system. Contact with excess methanol or inhalation of high concentrations of methanol can also lead to intoxication.
